Wolf Gold 4 Pack: Slot Overview
Editor’s Note: This review is based on an early-access version of the game. Final details may change upon full release.
If you’ve spent any time at an online casino, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Pragmatic Play’s popular slot, Wolf Gold. Since its original 2017 debut, it’s become something of a mainstay—whether due to its memorable features, recurring mechanics in other titles, or the studio’s tendency to remix it into variations like Wolf Gold Ultimate. Now, the pack grows again with Wolf Gold 4 Pack, with the “4” in the title teasing a multi-matrix setup.
Thematically, Wolf Gold 4 Pack stays true to the spirit of the original. Expect to see sweeping desert landscapes, majestic wildlife, and that iconic full moon hanging in the sky. It’s a scene straight out of the untamed American wilderness—where eagles soar, wolves prowl, and nature feels raw and untouched. Or at least it would, if not for the flashy bonus buy options, five jackpot tiers, and spinning prize wheel crowding the screen. Still, those classic gambling elements mixed with a touch of wild frontier ambiance give the slot its familiar charm with a slightly modern edge.
Wolf Gold 4 Pack looks to build on its predecessor’s legacy with quad-grid gameplay, multiple jackpots, and a wild-meets-casino vibe that’s unmistakably Pragmatic Play.
In the base game, Wolf Gold 4 Pack plays out on a classic 5×3 reel layout with 25 fixed paylines evaluating wins from left to right. Bets range from €0.25 to €250 per spin, and the slot runs on a high volatility math model, offering a maximum RTP of 96.51%.
Symbol-wise, the lower-paying group consists of J–A card ranks, awarding 2x the bet for five of a kind. Premium symbols include cougars, horses, eagles, and bison, with top-tier 5-of-a-kind payouts ranging from 8x to 20x the bet. The wolf symbol acts as the wild, appearing on all reels and substituting for any regular pay symbol. When forming its own winning combination, the wolf pays the same as the bison, the highest-value standard symbol.

-
Bonus Round
-
Super Bonus Round
-
Instant Cash Prizes:
-
Mini – 10x the bet
-
Midi – 25x
-
Minor – 100x

-
Gold Moon Symbols come with higher-value prizes of 2x to 5,000x the bet.
💰 Bonus Round
Triggered either via the Bonus Wheel or by landing 5 or more Moon symbols in a spin. The round plays on up to four 5×3 reelsets that contain only blanks, Moon, or Gold Moon symbols.
-
Starts with 3 respins; every new Moon symbol resets the counter for that specific reelset.
-
If a Gold Moon lands, it unlocks the two bottom reelsets and resets all reelset counters back to 3.
-
The round ends when no respins remain or when all unlocked grids are filled.
-
A 1,000x bonus is awarded for completely filling a reelset.
🔥 Super Bonus Round
Triggered by:
-
Landing 6 Moon symbols, or
-
5 Moon + at least 1 Gold Moon, or
-
Via the Bonus Wheel.
The Super Bonus Round functions like the regular bonus but starts with all four 5×3 grids unlocked from the beginning, increasing the win potential.
🛒 Feature Buy
Skip the wait—players can buy 1 spin on the Bonus Wheel for 100x the bet, giving them direct access to one of the bonus features or a jackpot prize.
With layered bonus potential and reel-expanding mechanics, Wolf Gold 4 Pack keeps the core formula alive while offering fresh angles to chase those big wins.
Wolf Gold 4 Pack: Slot Verdict
If you’re already a fan of Wolf Gold and have a soft spot for multi-grid slots, then Wolf Gold 4 Pack will likely hit the right notes. For everyone else, the appeal is much more uncertain. The game retains that classic land-based style that hasn’t evolved much since the original’s 2017 debut—a nostalgic look for some, outdated for others. In fact, that throwback aesthetic might be its biggest draw, banking on familiarity rather than innovation.
One notable omission is the free spins round from the original Wolf Gold, meaning no expanding symbols or x3 multipliers this time around. Instead, the spotlight is on the Bonus Wheel and the Hold & Win-style bonus rounds. Unfortunately, these aren’t particularly groundbreaking. The Bonus Wheel is functional but generic, and while the regular and super bonus rounds add potential with Moon and Gold Moon symbols, they lack the excitement found in more dynamic formats.
Additionally, special modifiers—like Collectors, Multipliers, or Plus Cash symbols found in Wolf Gold Ultimate—are absent here. There’s no interaction between the four grids either, unlike in more interconnected quad-grid slots such as The Dog House Multihold. This makes the gameplay feel a bit passive, mostly revolving around watching symbols land and stick, with few surprises along the way.
Of course, filling an entire grid to trigger a 1,000x payout or hitting the 5,100x win cap is a solid incentive. But unless you’re deeply invested in the Wolf Gold brand or actively seek out every quad-matrix slot released, Wolf Gold 4 Pack is unlikely to stand out from the pack for long. It’s a decent addition for loyalists but falls short of delivering a must-play experience.
