Wild Swarm Triple Hive – (Push Gaming) Slot Review

Wild Swarm Triple Hive: Slot Overview

One of the perks of beekeeping is the never-ending cycle of honey production—pluck the hive, and the bees get right back to work. It’s a curious partnership where the buzzing workforce does the heavy lifting, while humans collect the sweet rewards. The same could be said for Push Gaming, who’ve steadily reaped success from their bee-themed slots starting with Wild Swarm in 2018, followed by Wild Swarm 2 six years later. Now, the buzzing returns with Wild Swarm Triple Hive, the biggest and boldest iteration yet, featuring more mechanics and a significantly enhanced win potential.

This time around, the bees have gone medieval. Think Bee Hive Bonanza from NetEnt, but with a royal twist—queens, commoners, and a honey-dripping arena that suggests medieval games like archery or jousting may be afoot, though the stands remain eerily empty. The visual style blends rustic charm with golden goo, creating an offbeat atmosphere that still feels sweetly familiar.

Central to the action are three Hives perched above the reels—a continuation of the concept introduced in 3 Magic Pots. Bees are collected in these hives as you spin, triggering different features and bonuses along the way. With its layered progression and quirky medieval theming, Wild Swarm Triple Hive sets the stage for a more elaborate and rewarding bee slot experience.

For a moment, it might seem like Wild Swarm used a hexagonal grid—but that’s a mix-up with Play’n GO’s Honey Rush, which embraced the unconventional layout. Wild Swarm Triple Hive, like its predecessors, sticks to a traditional 5×4 reel setup with 20 paylines for forming wins. While it offers the highest win potential of the trilogy, it also comes with the lowest volatility, marked by Push Gaming as low to medium. The most favorable version runs at a 96.48% RTP, and bets range from 10c to $/€100 per spin.

On the paytable, landing five matching J to A royals awards 1x the bet, while premium symbols—purple flowers, white flowers, honey pots, crowns, and dollar signs—pay 1.5x to 10x for five of a kind. Wild Honey and Sticky Wild symbols substitute for any standard pay symbol and pay 10x the bet when five align. Sticky Wilds appear exclusively during free spins and remain fixed in place for the duration of the bonus round.

Just like bees move in swarms, Wild Swarm Triple Hive brings a buzzing swarm of features to explore. These include Collectable Bees, a Bonus Wheel, multiple Jackpot prizes, the Queen Bee, and three distinct Hive-based Free Spins modes.

🐝 Collectable Bees

In the base game, Wild Honey symbols may land with Collectable Bees, each belonging to a specific Hive:

  • Red Knight Bee – collected by the Jackpot Hive, with a chance to trigger the Jackpot Hive feature.

  • Green Knight Bee – collected by the Multiplier Hive, for a chance to activate Multiplier Hive spins.

  • Yellow Knight Bee – collected by the Sticky Hive, for a chance to launch the Sticky Hive feature.

  • Queen Bee – collected by a random Hive, offering the highest chance to trigger its feature.

🎡 Wheel Feature

Triggered by landing a Chest symbol, the Wheel spins to award:

In the base game:

  • Instant bet multipliers from 2x to 250x.

  • One of five Jackpot prizes: Mini (10x), Minor (25x), Maxi (50x), Mega (100x), or Grand (1,000x).

  • Trigger combinations of Hive features (e.g. Jackpot + Multiplier, or all three at once).

  • A random Hive trigger.

In free spins:

  • +2 to +5 extra spins

  • Sticky Wild Reel

  • 2 to 5 Jackpot Tokens (Jackpot Hive only)

  • Additional Jackpot prizes or bet multipliers

🎰 Free Spins Modes

Each Hive type offers its own version of 7 free spins, triggered when a Collectable Bee fills its Hive. Filling an entire reel with Sticky Wilds grants +1 extra spin.

  • Jackpot Hive Feature: Sticky Wilds land with attached Jackpot Tokens. Collect tokens to fill Jackpot Meters and win:

    • Mini (2 tokens)

    • Minor (3)

    • Maxi (4)

    • Mega (5)

    • Grand (6)

Jackpots can be won multiple times per bonus.

  • Multiplier Hive Feature: x2, x4, x8 multipliers appear above reels 2–4. Filling a reel with Sticky Wilds applies the multiplier to each wild beneath. Multipliers are additive.

  • Sticky Hive Feature: Before the first spin, 4 Sticky Wilds are randomly placed on the reels.

  • Combo Hive Features: Triggering 2 Hives grants 10 spins, 3 Hives awards 12 spins. These may be activated via Collectable Bees or the Wheel.

👑 Queen Bee

The Queen Bee can appear during any Hive feature or combo. When she does, she places 1 to 4 Sticky Wilds on the grid and acts as one herself. In the Jackpot Hive, she doesn’t award Tokens, but the Sticky Wilds she creates can.

Wild Swarm Triple Hive: Slot Verdict

At first glance, Wild Swarm Triple Hive seemed poised to make a major impact. Following two solid and warmly received predecessors, expectations were understandably high. And while it may not quite deliver the knockout punch some were hoping for, there’s still plenty of charm and craftsmanship to appreciate.

As with previous entries in the series, Triple Hive is a visually polished, well-constructed slot that invites players back into Push Gaming’s cheerful, bee-filled world. The excitement ramps up with an expanded feature list and a significantly boosted win potential—up to 23,902x the bet, more than double that of Wild Swarm 2. On paper, it’s all set for another honey-dripping hit.

However, the experience settles into something that feels a little… familiar. Not in a bad way—just a touch more standard than expected. The 3 Pots mechanic, bee collection system, and token-based jackpots function smoothly but don’t quite generate the “wow” factor you might hope for in a third installment. At times, it feels reminiscent of mechanics used by Games Global studios—solid and reliable, but lacking a truly unique hook.

That said, the Sticky Wilds, Chest-triggered prizes, and the nostalgic nods to earlier games in the series are a sweet touch for returning players. And despite a few moments of déjà vu, Triple Hive remains an inviting package overall. Its bright visuals, approachable volatility, and generous max win potential ensure it has more than enough nectar to attract a swarm of players.

If the 3 Pots system worked before—and it clearly did—there’s no reason to doubt it’ll work again here. The build quality is excellent, the theme is charming, and the mechanics are accessible, making Wild Swarm Triple Hive a fine addition to Push Gaming’s buzzing portfolio.
